Fitness Background: I have been in CrossFit for the last six years. Before that I was regularly attending a fitness center.
Favorite non-gym way to be active: Walking.
Favorite hobby: Motorcycle riding.
Favorite healthy food: Fruits, vegetables, fish & chicken.
Describe yourself in one word: Positivite
Biggest health and fitness goal: To be healthy and in good shape.
Now the nitty-gritty workout stuff…
When did you first try CrossFit and what made you want to try it? In 2013 my doctor and good friend informed me that my bad cholesterol level increased after my yearly medical check-up, and that I would have to take medication to control it. He also said he had the same situation a year back, started CrossFit, and was able to manage it without any medication. He suggested I try CrossFit and see if I could control it without any medication, so I did. Within six months I was able to control my cholesterol levels without any medication. So far, I am healthy and don't have any health issues, Thank God.
What makes you stick with CrossFit? There will be a coach for each class and motivating people around you. The best thing: you can finish the entire work out in an hour. It saves time!
Favorite movement: Deadlift
Least favorite movement/something that’s hard for you: Running.
What gets you through tough workouts? Strength and stress relief.
What keeps you motivated? To be look younger and healthier.
Proudest Elevate moment to date? I started the Whole 30 diet and lost 12lbs within a month.
Hobbies outside of killing it at the gym: Enjoying time with family and friends.
Changes you’ve seen from working out at Elevate: Increased energy and strength.
How has CrossFit helped you outside of the gym: I've made good friends at CrossFit.
How do you balance working out with family life? I find time between my office work because I am self-employed. I have to complete the work on my own time, which I can manage.
What’s your favorite part of bringing your kid(s) to the gym? To learn CrossFit skills.
One lesson that you’ve learned from your time at Elevate that you’ll take with you from here on out: Never quit. Keep on trying to achieve your target.
